FAQ

General Questions
How do I know which kit to choose to level my vehicle?

The ride height of each vehicle varies due to the condition and trim model of the vehicle. The optimal way to determine which kit you require to level your truck is to park your vehicle on a level ground and take a tape-measure in order to measure the distance from the ground to the top center of the fender arch. Take the measurements for both the rear and front and subtract the two numbers. This is about the amount you will need in order to perfectly level your vehicle.

Why do your kits have a higher front lift?

The reason why we offer our full kits higher in the front is to get rid of some of your factory rake. Because your rear is higher than the front from the factory, by raising your truck an uneven amount, it will make it look more level and look much better.

Can I mount this kit on top of another suspension lift kit?

Our suspension lift kits are designed and tested to work with factory suspension components ONLY and should never be used on any vehicles with a suspension lift kit already installed. However, our suspension lift kits can be used in conjunction with a body lift.

Will I have to get new shocks with your leveling kit?

New shocks are not required on most of our front suspension leveling kits. Our ad states that the kit has all the hardware included to complete the install. If you are unsure or have any questions, please feel free to contact us.

How will the leveling lift kit affect the ride-quality of my truck?

Ride quality will not be affected if the lift kit was installed correctly using the appropriate application.

I applied the discount but why didn't the price change?

Bolt-On Lift Kit Questions
How do bolt-on lift kits work?

The spacer included will lift your truck the advertised amount by extending your spring. This allows you to maintain your factory spring rate and allows for a precision amount of lift at a great price. We specially designed this kit for flush fitment and to compliment the looks of your truck. The bolts of the kit are pressed in and are also completely flush with the spacer as well.

Why is the spacer in my kit a different thickness than the lift that I ordered?

The lift amount and the spacer thickness will NOT be the same. In order to lift your vehicle the advertised height, it is necessary that the spacer is less than the lift amount. The suspension (lower control arm) compounds the amount of lift due to both its length and angle and that is the reason why the spacer needs to smaller than the lift amount.

Are your spacers coated?

Yes, our spacers are Teflon coated and will never lose their finish. Other sellers stock anodized aluminum kits which will change color over time. Painted or powder-coated steel chips and takes out chunks of the finish. However, Teflon resists all of the elements plus gives you a hard coating that is scratch resistant and will last forever.

Are longer shocks required for any of your kits?

Longer shocks are not required for our kits. Dealers recommend that you replace your shocks every 50,000 miles. If you haven't done so yet, it is recommended to replace it all at the same time.

Is installation difficult? How long does installation take? Will I be able to install this kit myself?

Installation is not difficult since most of our lift kits do not require any special tools such as a spring compressor. Most of our kits are "bolt-on" applications and installation can be completed by almost anyone with some experience working on suspensions. Average installation time should take 1-3 hours depending on experience of the installer. Although this kit was designed for the home installer, it is always recommended that a professional installs your kit.

Note: For our Max Torsion kits, a Torsion key will be required.

Torsion Key Lift Kit Questions
Do I need any special tools for installation?

A Torsion key is required for all our Max Torsion Kits.

How do I adjust my truck from 1"-3"?

Your factory adjustor bolt will allow you to personalize your front lift in order to raise your truck up an exact amount. Our kit will give you about 2" of lift after installation. Using the adjustor bolt, every full turn in either direction will increase or decrease your right height 1/8".
